2012 Age Grade Requirements

GRADES AND REQUIRED DATES OF BIRTH

UNDER 6	Must be born on or after January 1st, 2006

UNDER 8	Must be born on or after January 1st, 2004

UNDER 10	Must be born on or after January 1st, 2002

UNDER 12	Must be born on or after January 1st, 2000

UNDER 14	Must be born on or after January 1st, 1998

UNDER 16	Must be born on or after January 1st, 1996

UNDER 18	Must be born on or after January 1st, 1994

DISPENSATION RULES
NOTE: Clubs must apply for a dispensation PRIOR to the players first game. Please contact the Union offices on 789-8330 to do this. When making decisions regarding dispensations the following will be considered by the JAB committe
The skills of the player The size of the player The health of the player The age of the player The players representative history
The following rules also apply to dispensated players
The player must be no more than 12 months older than the grade he/she wishes to play in. A dispensated player must not play at the positions of 8,9 or 10. Dispensated players must wear an arm-band AT ALL TIMES on the field (Red or White arm-band). A dispensation can be revoked at ANY time during the season at the discretion of the JAB Committee.
NOTE: The JAB Committe consists of the Chairperson and the Rugby Development Officer.
